it is introduction of biomedical class. you to answer the questions they asked from resources website.
question:
Sudden cardiac arrest is one form of heart failure that can kill within minutes. It is due to an acute failure of the heart’s electrical system, leading to asynchronized beating, or fibrillation. Cardiac output goes to zero and the brain can die within minutes. This condition can affect young as well as older people.
Continuous chest compression can be used to keep blood moving until emergency personnel arrive. Another option available in many public places (including many spots on campus), is using an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). These devices put a massive current through the heart, hopefully depolarizing all heart cells and re-synchronizing the heart to beat normally. It is a marvel of engineering, safe enough for anyone to use.
This assignment could literaly save someone’s life. It is on your honor to complete- please actually watch the videos, and actually visit the site of the AED, don’t take someone else’s word for it!

2. Can you damage someone’s heart if you perform CPR while it is beating?
3. Where are the AEDs nearest to your place of residence, and/or nearest to the places you spend a lot of time (union, rec center, laboratory)? Please find at least 2!
4. It is possible to cause harm if a defibrillation pulse is delivered to a beating heart. How does an AED assure that it does not deliver a pulse to a normally beating heart?
