The integration of Christianity and psychology has been an issue of controversy for Christian counselors since the 1970s (McMinn & Phillips, 2001). Movements for integration have been developed following the acceptance of psychology in the realms of pastoral counseling without criticism of psychology from Christianity perspectives. Despite the efforts of bringing together the two spheres gaining much strength, a great diversity exists regarding the manner what and how to integrate.
